Information we collect
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message. We use this only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.
Technical information
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested. This includes your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. These server logs are used to keep the site running, secure and free from abuse, and they are kept only for a limited period.
Cookies and similar technologies
We don't set our own cookies to track you. However, the advertising partners described below may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies when you visit our pages.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps DollarSums free. Specifically:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices.
- If you haven't opted out, other certified third-party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies to serve ads on our site.
To learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can also read Google's privacy policy.
Your consent choices
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message, provided through Google's certified consent management platform, before cookies are used for personalized advertising. You can accept, reject or customize your choices, and you can change them at any time using the privacy settings link shown on the site. If you don't consent, you may still see non-personalized ads, which may still use cookies for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting and fraud prevention.
Visitors in U.S. states with privacy laws, such as California: we don't sell your personal information for money. However, the use of advertising cookies to show personalized ads may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information under some state laws. Where required, a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" option is provided on the site so you can opt out.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, for example by blocking third-party cookies or deleting cookies already stored.

We keep emails for as long as needed to deal with your message, and then for no longer than 24 months. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period according to its standard practices. Data collected by Google is governed by Google's own retention policies.
Sharing your information
We don't sell or rent your personal information. Information is shared only with service providers that help us run the site, namely our hosting provider and Google as our advertising partner, or when required by law.
